Russell's Gifted and Highly Gifted Magnet program is a premier magnet center in South Los Angeles and we are growing! In the 2021-2022 school year, we will be offering TWO classes in gifted Magnet programming in grades 2nd through 6th and we are adding a first grade Magnet class!
OUR GOAL: At Russell, we identify and serve gifted and talented elementary student from diverse backgrounds. We aim to increase the number of identified gifted students in South Los Angeles and help them reach their full potential.
OUR PROGRAMMING: At Russell, our staff is committed to providing a differentiated experience for our high ability and gifted learners. We provide DEPTH, COMPLEXITY, NOVELTY and ACCELERATION in our classrooms while addressing and nurturing individual talents and gifts.
Our staff trains annually on gifted and high ability learning and have years of experience in meeting the needs of this special population.
